UP Revenue Council mandates new dress code for employees: White shirt, blazers

In a move to enhance professionalism and establish a distinct identity among its staff, the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council has announced a new dress code for all employees. Effective immediately, officials including Lekhpals, Amins, Revenue Inspectors, and Naib Tehsildars are required to wear white shirts and blazers during working hours.
The decision was communicated by Sunil Kumar Jha, the special officer of the council, who emphasised the importance of this new policy to all divisional commissioners and district magistrates. The shirts must prominently display the council’s emblem, with guidelines already distributed to ensure uniformity in appearance.
This initiative aims to not only standardise the attire of revenue officials but also to instil a sense of pride and accountability among the workforce. In addition to the dress code, the use of the Revenue Council’s emblem will now be mandatory in all official correspondence, further solidifying the identity of the council in public dealings.
The implementation of this dress code is part of broader efforts to modernise the image of government offices and enhance the efficiency of services provided to the public. By adopting a professional appearance, the Revenue Council hopes to foster greater trust and recognition among citizens.
